My name is Phil Byers, though most clients know me simply as Coach Phil. I’ve been blessed to be married to the love of my life, Brooke, since March 2000. Together we’ve built a beautiful family—Christian, Noah, Elijah, Lillah, Jonah, and Rosie. Our home and our work are grounded in our Christian faith, and that foundation drives everything I do inside and outside the gym.

My journey into fitness wasn’t easy, and it wasn't pretty. In April 2023, I stepped on the scale at 315 pounds. I was exhausted, discouraged, and taking seven different medications. I knew something had to change—not just physically, but mentally and spiritually.

Through learning nutrition and supplementation, and committing to consistent training, I rebuilt my health from the ground up. Over time, I lost 97 pounds, came off all medications, and discovered a renewed strength I hadn’t felt in years. But the transformation wasn’t only physical. As someone who has wrestled with depression, the gym became a safe place as well as a space of clarity, healing, and empowerment. It restored parts of me I didn’t even realize were broken.

That journey lit a fire inside me. Today, I coach because I love people deeply. I want to see individuals succeed, reclaim their health, and experience the same freedom I found. I’m motivated by a deep desire to see people step into their purpose and uncover the strength within themselves that they never realized they had. Purpose & Power Fitness was created to help others become stronger—not just in the body, but in mindset, discipline, confidence, and hope.
